My Dream by Molly B.
The rush of the nerves. The adrenaline
pulsing through every inch of your body. And you step up. Climb on the block
and get ready for the horn that could change your life. And you’re off. You
dive into the water, piercing through the ice. And you swim your heart out
until you can’t breath, until you don’t have any more energy, until your legs
get hot and itchy. But you keep going. You keep striving for your goal. Then
you touch the wall and that’s when you scream. You got first place. You
deserved this because you worked hard for it. You went to practice every single
day in the winter and in the summer. You worked out three times a week, every
week and you didn’t give up. Even when people brought you down. My dream to be
an Olympic swimmer.
